Thank you for supporting my small batch candle shop! Below you'll find answers to common questions about shipping, processing times, and the handmade process
How long will it take to ship my order?
Because candles and wax melts are poured fresh in small batches, please allow 3-7 business days for your order to be processed before shipping. 10-14 business days for out of stocks.
Once shipped, you'll receive a tracking number by email. Most orders arrive within 2-5 business days, depending on your location.
How much is shipping?
Flat rate shipping and free shipping on orders over $55 is offered. Your shipping total will be calculated at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, I am only shipping within the United States.
Can I return or exchange an item?
All of the products are handmade and poured to order, so all sales are final. I do not accept returns or exchanges due to the nature of the products.
What if my item arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged, please email me at eastdistrictboutique@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery. Include your order number and a few clear photos of the item AND packaging. I'll do my best to make it right.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because orders begin processing quickly, I'm unable to guarantee changes or cancellations once an order is placed. If you made a mistake, reach out as soon as possible and I will do my best to help you.
π―οΈ Wax Melt Usage & Care
How do I use wax melts safely?
Place your wax warmer on a flat, heat-safe surface away from the edges of shelves, curtains, and anything flammable. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
How much wax should I use?
Start with 1β2 cubes (or roughly 1 oz) in your warmer dish. You can always add more once you see how your warmer performs β less is more when you're starting out.
Do I use an open flame with wax melts?
No, wax melts are designed for use with an electric or tea-light wax warmer only. Never use an open flame directly under or near your wax melt dish.
Should I ventilate the room?
Yes! For the best experience and good air quality, use your warmer in a well-ventilated space. Avoid running it in very small, completely closed rooms for extended periods.
How do I clean out my warmer?
Once the wax has cooled and hardened, pop it out with a spoon or wax liner. For stubborn residue, warm the dish just enough to soften the wax, then wipe clean with a paper towel. Never pour liquid wax down the drain.
